Co-opted Governor & Chair of Governors
Mrs Jane Springham
My name is Jane Springham and I have had a connection to Kingsholm Primary School for almost as long as I can remember! I have been an Associate Member of the governing body, having been a Parent Governor in the past, when my daughter attended this lovely school and I have recently been elected as Co-opted Governor.
As well as attending Full Governor Body meetings I am also a member of the Resources Committee. I really enjoy finding out about all the great things that happen here and visiting the school to meet the children and staff.
Jane attends Full Governing Body and Resource Committee Meetings and has voting rights.
Foundation Governor and Vice Chair
Mrs Elspeth King
Elspeth has lived in this part of Gloucester virtually all her life including being a pupil at the school herself- but quite a few years ago! She is a keen historian with a particular interest in the twentieth century and she enjoys seeing how the school evolves and develops to suit the changing times. As a parent herself she is committed to giving every one of the pupils the best possible start in life.
Elspeth attends Full Governing Body and Resource Committee Meetings and has full voting rights.
Mrs Sharon Davis
I've been a Governor at Kingsholm Primary School since June 2013. I have 2 children that attend the school in years 3 and 6, I have always been interested in their and other children’s development now and through their school years. I have a vested interest in ensuring their education at Kingsholm Primary school is fair and improves year on year. It is important that we help provide the school with a view from “the children and us their parents”, through constructive feedback to the school Governors which will help in our children’s academic achievements and their development. Being a governor also satisfies my own curiosity about what makes the school tick and to contribute my own ideas. My children are very happy at the school, and I have been impressed with the teaching, supportive environment and inspiration that the school has given them that I wanted to give something back.
Sharon attends Full Governing Body meetings and has full voting rights.
Ms Alison Kite
I’ve been a Parent Governor for 2 years and have had two children go through the school from Reception to Year 6. Both my children were very happy during their time at Kingsholm – it’s a very friendly and supportive school, with lots going on and great pastoral care. I’m particularly interested in how the school monitors the children’s progress and how it communicates with parents.
Alison attends Full Governing Body meetings and has full voting rights.
Mr Jonathan Hoad
I have been a resident of Kingsholm nigh on 30 years. Both my boys went to Kingsholm Primary and had a solid education that stood them in good stead. I am currently a community Governor and Chair with particular focus on Child Protection and Resources. The role of Governors is to oversee and support the team and we have done this as the the School has faced many challenges and undergone tremendous change. We always aim to provide a safe, friendly and stimulating environment for the pupils in our care.
Jonathan attends Full Governing Body and Resource Committee meetings and has full voting rights.

Miss Hilary Paskins
I have had a long term relationship with Kingsholm C of E Primary. I started as a volunteer in January 1988 and later was employed by the school firstly as a reception class teacher and then as the Family Centre Co-ordinator. My title changed to Early Years Manager when the Centre became an Early Years Centre. In 2008 I became the Children's Centre Manager for the Kaleidoscope Children's Centre at Kingsholm and Elmbridge.
I left this post in August 2011. From 1991 onwards, apart from one year off, I have been a governor at the school!
Hilary attends Full Governing Body and Resource Committee Meetings and has a right to vote on committee business.
Mrs Sophie Kingscote
I work as a secondary school teacher and I have a son in Year 2. I was interested in becoming a school governor and help with supporting the school's ambition to enable children to fulfil their potential, recognising that happy, confident children grow into self-assured, capable young people.
Being a Parent Governor gives me the opportunity to share my belief in a fantastic school and its values, as well as playing a more active supportive role in its continued success.
Sophie attends Full Governing Body meetings and has full voting rights.
Mrs Emma Dalziel
I work as a manager within a Risk department of a local bank head office and have worked there for 13 years. I am committed to ensuring that children have the best possible support and education from the school and want to make a difference in our community.
